I am a self employed Marketing and New Media Consultant and
Contractor.
Some of my current and recent projects include: writing and managing content for a major new Web Portal for the Scottish Government,
New Media Consultancy for the Lamberhurst Corporation and their partners, Authoring marketing materials for Extended Systems, Inc.
and Event Management (including presentation creation and event direction) for a
number of Information Technology companies.
I have earned my living as a Trainer and Training Manager (with the Granada
Group Plc.) and taught presentation technique both to the staff of companies I
have worked for and on a freelance basis.
I gave up overhead projectors about 15 years ago and started creating electronic presentations using IBM StoryBoard and StoryBoard Live,
then DR Draw, Harvard Graphics, the Polaroid Palette and Lotus Freelance.
I added Microsoft PowerPoint to my repertoire as soon as the first version was
released.
PowerPoint is a far more powerful medium than most people realise and
when used properly, together with good presentation technique, makes a very
effective and persuasive experience.
Apart from creating and implementing presentations, I create and manage entire
events, design and build websites
(including this one) write marketing material and undertake Marketing and New
Media Consultancy.
